Chimpers is a pixel-art PFP NFT collection launched on May 20, 2022, featuring 5,555 unique pixelated chimp avatars inspired by anime, retro games, and rich storytelling. The project was created by pixel artist Oliver Timperley (Timpers) and co-founded with his twin brother Jacob Timperley, who leads community-building and narrative development.

The collection emerged from their earlier project, The Boring Ape Chronicles, as they expanded a lore-rich universe known as the Chimpverse, complete with adventures, gaming elements like “The Dojo,” and immersive narrative features designed to surprise and reward collectors.
